Twas early on the fifth of June when Robin set to sea
He climbed aboard a sailing ship pursuing all his dreams
He left behind a maiden, the fairest lass, Colleen
For Robin was a foolish man pursuing all his dreams
The wind came up, the tide went out, that bright and sunny day
And Robin was aboard his ship prepared to sail away
But back on the horizon he saw his fair Colleen
He could not leave his love behind for she was in his dreams
He turned his ship and entered in the port he'd left behind
And found Colleen awaiting there as if she'd known his mind
And as the two united Colleen was heard to say
"Oh, Robin please don't leave me here." And so they sailed away.
The moral of this story is, as you can plainly see,
Don't ever leave your love behind if you must sail the sea
For if you try to wander you'll soon find your Colleen
Will call from past horizons and remain within your dreams.
